Pitch up to the sexy H3 Restaurant bar for a dozen oysters and a glass of Chardonnay.

Overview: A new H-shaped mixed-use high-rise at Montreal’s Place Jean-Paul Riopelle is home to Humaniti Montreal, a 193-room boutique hotel, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. The 193 rooms sport a modern design, hardwood floors, lots of natural light and eco-conscious bathroom amenities by BeeKind. Executive chef Jean-Sébastien Giguère oversees h3 restaurant, lounge and terrace, and Hugo Duchesne, Quebec’s sommelier of 2020, manages a 3,000-bottle wine cellar.

Crowd: Billed as a “next generation hotel for true citizens of the world,” the hotel expects to draw a sophisticated clientele of design-savvy travellers who are hip to the innovative architecture and independent spirit.

Agenda: When you’re not buffing up in the super-fancy 2,000-square-foot gym, you’re wandering around Old Montreal or popping into Place des Arts and the Musée d’art contemporain.

Essential: The sprawling rooftop patio on the 9th floor is perfect for an afternoon by the pool or a bite at h3 TERRASSE.
